Electronics & Communication Engineering...

Around 280 students are studying in Electronics and Communication Engineering branch.

We have four laboratories ice., Electronics Lab,Communication Lab Instrumentation Lab and VLSI/Embedded Lab.There are equipped with highly sophisticated instruments in accordance with the latest development of technologies at a cost of 25 lakhs.

Short term courses are conducted in cell phone servicing. There is a proposal to conduct instrument servicing course.

For our final year students we have VLSI and Digital Image processing as Elective subjects.

VLSI/Embedded Lab:

Our VLSI/Embedded Lab is equipped with latest computer systems,VLSI FPGA trianer kits.ARM7 trainer kits,Networking equipments etc.,

Communication Lab :
Our communication lab is provided with microwave benches, AM/FM generators, function generators, audio frequency oscillators, monochrome and color TV demonstrators, Digital frequency meters, AM Radio Receiver Demonstrators individual circuit Demonstrators, Digital Communication trainer kits, optical fibre kits etc.

Electronics Lab :
Our electronics lab is modernized with US imported TEKTRONIX make Digital storage oscilloscopes, Digital trainer kits, Digital power supplies measuring meters, transducer kits, multimeters etc.

Area of Electronics lab-240 Sq.Metre.

Area of Communication Lab - 120 Sq.Metre.
Area of Instrumentation Lab – 80 Sq.Metre.

Continuing Education :
In the continuing education programme cell phone servicing courses course is conducted. Instrument servicing course is yet to be conducted.

Instrumentation Lab:
Our Instrumentation lab is provided with latest microcontroller kits,Transducer kits,CRO,s,Signal generators,etc..,

Our ECE Department is accredited by NBA,AICTE,New delhi.

ISO 9001-2000 quality management system is implemented in our department.

About 60% of the out gone students are opting for direct second year B.E under lateral entry scheme in engineering colleges .

The first 15 rank holders have joined in second year B.E under lateral entry scheme in government and aided engineering colleges. Selvan O.S.midhunseelan of second year ECE got state level III Rank in the oct.2004 III semester board examinations
